These terms govern this independent Vueni demonstration operated by The Understanding Company. It is not an official City of Detroit website or a City eligibility, application, inspection, or emergency service. By using the demo, you agree to these terms.
What Vueni provides
Vueni offers informational guidance based on public program materials and the details you share. It is meant to help you understand options and prepare next steps — not to replace professional advice.
Program rules, funding, waitlists, and deadlines change. Always confirm details directly with the program, contractor, or agency before relying on them.
What Vueni does not provide
Vueni does not provide legal, financial, engineering, or medical advice. It does not guarantee eligibility, approval, funding, or a specific outcome for any repair program.
If you face imminent danger — such as gas smell, fire, flooding with electrical risk, or structural collapse — contact emergency services or the appropriate utility immediately. Do not rely on Vueni for emergency response.
Your responsibilities
You agree to provide accurate information to the best of your ability and to use Vueni lawfully. Do not misuse the service, attempt to access others' accounts, or submit harmful or abusive content.
You are responsible for decisions you make based on information from Vueni, including applications you submit to third-party programs or contractors.
Accounts and access
No account is required. A signed browser cookie connects you to your guest conversation. Anyone who can use that browser profile may be able to view the chat, so use a trusted device.
We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms, misuse the service, or if we must do so to protect users, maintain the demo, or comply with law.
Intellectual property
Vueni and its content, branding, and software are owned by us or our licensors. You may use the service for personal, non-commercial purposes as allowed by these terms.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
Vueni is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date.
